Black Cherry


Prunus serotina is a showy tree and often used ornamentally as it attracts many butterflies and bees.But its dark red cherries are excellent in jams and pies.But beware, all the parts except for the tree's fruits are poisonous if consumed.Its inner bark however is used on cough syrups, sedatives, and tonics.
