About the event
How is our environment changing? How are these changes being recorded? Are these changes only in my backyard or are they regional or worldwide? Phenology is the scientific study of cyclic and seasonal phenomena, especially in relation to climate, plant, and animal life, is one way that scientists use to find the answers to these questions. Indiana Phenology will be joining us for the day so that you can become a Citizen Scientist and help record and monitor environmental changes in our area. They will also assist you with developing ways you can Take Action with your newfound skills and look for ways to help preserve our environment.
Note: lunch is not provided; you will need to bring a sack lunch. Troop leaders will be responsible for the supervision of girls during lunch.
Girls will complete the requirements for the Think Like a Citizen Scientist Journey for Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors, which are included in the workshop fees.
This event is designed as an in-person event for Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors.
